Elementary Analysis

analysis of elements

For quality control of ore, steel, iron, etc., analysis of carbon (C), sulfur (S), hydrogen (H) and nitrogen (N) is required. For this purpose, a sample of the test object is heated to the melting point. During this process, hydrogen and nitrogen are expelled.

Inserted into an oxygen stream, carbon (C) then oxidizes to carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) and sulfur (S) to sulfur dioxide (SO2). The individual concentrations of the gaseous components can be precisely analyzed with Wi.Tec sensors. Based on the values determined, the constituents of the solid sample can be reliably determined.
