Measure the future energy sources
Biogas is produced through the fermentation of organic waste and renewable resources (NAWAROS). Its primary components are methane (CH₄) and carbon dioxide (CO₂).

Depending on the feedstock, biogas may also contain significant levels of hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), as well as nitrogen (N₂), oxygen (O₂), ammonia (NH₃), and moisture in the form of water vapor.
Wi.Tec has developed a specialized calibration procedure tailored for modules used in biogas applications. Due to the carrier gas dependency of CO₂ measurement, Wi.Tec offers a module calibrated for both CO₂ and CH₄ in reverse order, ensuring precise analysis.
For detecting H₂S concentrations in biogas, the ULTRA.sens® AK100 sensor covers measurement ranges down to 100 ppm. Additionally, Wi.Tec is currently advancing hydrogen (H₂) detection based on thermal conductivity technology.
