Our high-performance NDIR AK100 sensor is designed for precise and reliable DLCO testing in line with the 2017 ERS/ATS guidelines. It delivers real-time results with an ultra-fast response time of down to 150 ms, making it ideal for breath-by-breath analysis. Built without moving parts and using an electrically modulated IR light source, the sensor offers high durability and low maintenance. Advanced signal processing ensures accurate detection of baseline and endpoint signals with a very low detection limit. A built-in digital filter responds in just milliseconds, ensuring excellent performance even during fast breathing cycles.

The sensor supports up to four gases – CO₂, CO, CH₄, and O₂ (measured with an electrochemical cell) – making it highly versatile for both clinical and research settings. Whether used in pulmonary labs or integrated into OEM medical devices, this compact sensor sets new standards in respiratory gas measurement with maximum precision and minimal effort. DLCO (Diffusing Capacity of the Lung for Carbon Monoxide) is a key test for evaluating how well gases are transferred from the lungs to the blood, helping to diagnose and monitor conditions like COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, and hypertension.
