Wi.Tec at the SMM in Hamburg
From 1 September 2026 to 4 September 2026, the world’s largest trade fair for marine technology, SMM 2026, took place in Hamburg. Wi.Tec was represented at the joint stand of the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) with a product for gas analysis in marine diesel engines. The product was developed as part of a DBU-funded project and is used worldwide to monitor SO₂ scrubbers. Many interesting discussions were held at the trade fair with users who would also like to use our gas measurement technology for other measurement tasks on ships.

With over 2,200 exhibitors and a total of around 49,000 visitors from all over the world, SMM is a key meeting place for the industry.
Wi.Tec-Sensorik GmbH will be showcasing its expertise in maritime gas measurement technology at the joint stand of the DBU (German Federal Environmental Foundation https://www.dbu.de/ ). The focus will be on SO2 gas analysis for monitoring emissions from marine diesel engines in the ppm range. Product development was financially supported by the DBU as part of a funding project. The product is already in series production and is being successfully used in deep-sea shipping.
